Kelly & Joseph Get Married in Mexico- The Wedding 17 June 2010

So, first of all…the ceremony was on Mayan ruins. Can you believe that?
Incredible. Kelly and Joseph wanted and intimate ceremony with family,
and they got it. They spent the morning together, then parted ways to put
on their duds, and then saw each other all glammed up just before the
ceremony at the site. During the ceremony they had family members tell
stories of love and marriage, all while formed in a circle.
There was not a dry eye there, including mine. Kelly is a crafter, so it was
really important to have handmade items in her wedding, and she did an
awesome job of making items that could be transported to Mexico from Oregon.
They made poms galore, custom fabric corsages for all the guests (eek!), succulent and
rock garden center pieces, and a totally fab cake topper. Oh, and flags for a parade
from the ceremony to the reception site.
Their collaged book of love held their rings, and in it was a little feather that they
spontaneously decided to let go into the ocean after they said their vows. Kelly’s
gorgeous convertible(!) dress is by Sarah Seven. Kelly made her convertible(!) birdcage
veil, too.
Ok, enough talking. Just look at the photos. (click to make them larger)

Kelly & Joseph Have a Wedding In Mexico – The Rehearsal Brunch 15 June 2010

You are going to have to pardon me a few extra blog
posts for this wedding. I mean, it was
IN MEXICO and we did a ton of stuff.
They also are sealing the deal (legally) with friends at
another soirée in a few weeks, so be prepared to see
a lot more of these guys. I’m sure you remember
this couple from their engagement shoot on Sauvie Island
here in Portland, and know just how photogenic they are.
Mrs. Kelly Goode is a photographer herself, so
she has a ton of ideas. Needless to say, I came home after
an amazing trip with a ton of photos. Let’s start with the
rehearsal brunch, which took place in Playa Del Carmen
at La Cueva del Chango.
