Pretty girls and pretty cameras 4 November 2009

I joined the ladies of Fern Hill for some lovely jaunts amongst
pumpkins a few weeks ago. They are all wonderful gals with
lovely cameras, and I had an absolutely fabulous time. I dusted
off my old Mamiya 645 and some even older film for a change,
and loved every minute of it. Why I don’t use that camera more
often is beyond me.

Space 20 October 2009

Hi friends. So, I started another blog. It’s a photo blog about all the neat
arts-based businesses here in Portland, Oregon and the spaces and daily
practices that make up their businesses. It just went live today with Icon Tattoo
and Second Nature. I’m so excited and
hope that you are too. Go check it out: spacepdx.com

Cuties, no? I did this as a wedding present, and oh my. I love it.
Doesn’t hurt that it was a completely adorable and carefree wedding. Ah.
Super 8 is so so fun.

Oh boy… 17 August 2009

I’m working on a new project that I’m pretty excited about. Stay tuned…
{update: Here it is!}

Congrats to them. Their wedding was completely adorable, and I was lucky enough to be there with a Super 8 camera in hand. Oh, I cannot wait to see what I got.

Farm to table 12 August 2009

I did a little editorial photo shoot for Oregon Wine Press about a month ago and went to the farm that Meriwether’s Restaurant runs. I was sorting through some of the photos again and found this completely adorable farmer in front of his tractor, and had to bring it back. Meriwether’s is truly a farm to table restaurant, meaning that they meticulously plot out a rotation of vegetables to maintain their needs so they order very little from distributors. It’s incredible. It’s the true definition of farm to table. And, while at the farm I had a little piece of the most amazing arugula I’ve ever had in my life, so they’re doing something right. See more photos here, and if you’re in Portland, pick up an Oregon Wine Press to read the article by the wonderful Sarah Shaw.
